Only In Texas

This was recorded in Zilker Park in Austin, Texas during their 'A Bigger Bang' tour - October 22, 2006, according to You Tube.

As I said "Only in Texas."
Update to add, They will probably never do this again, either.

It's Happened Before

I may have been wrong in my opinion expressed in the previous post. According to Uncle Jimbo, this may be a good idea. He usually knows what he's talking about and I sure hope he's right about this.

When Will We Learn?

This is going to cost the lives of American soldiers, just like it did in Vietnam. When are we going to learn that we can't fight this kind of war by rules that the other side is not playing by.

Back To School

With all the typos I've been making I may have to go back to school to re-learn how to type, spell edit, or all three. Spell check can only help so much. I know part of it is because I haven't been posting for a while. I hope that improves.

They're Everywhere

After reading some of the posts at The War On Guns and at Joe Huffman's I'm not too worried about being on a DHS watchlist for some of the posts on this blog. Of course, I'm also not too worried because there aren't many, if any, readers of this blog. Putting it on a watchlist would only draw attention to it. Hint, Hint. Update fixed typo. Again Update 2: Another typo.

Knives, Etc.

Lawdog has posts here and here on ridiculous rules and regulation forthcoming on knives. They completely overlook the fact that these regulations have nothing to do with real knives that are real weapons. The inmates are running the asylum. Update: Fixed typo at some point.

Udate 2: Another typo. I need an editor.

I'm Back And I'm Not Happy

What with the goings on in North Korea and Iran, and President Obama's nonchalant reaction to them and the continued disregard for the law concerning Inspectors General and assorted other things, I'm afraid we're in for at least some kind of rude awakening soon. I hope it's not as bad as I fear, but I'm not optimistic. There are just too many things that could go badly wrong that aren't receiving sufficient attention. This just demonstrates to me that the only thing the left is serious about is strengthening and increasing their power and control over every aspect of our lives. This is what comes when we abdicate personal responsibility for our lives as so many of us have done over the last forty to sixty years or longer. Sorry for such a gloomy post to come back with, but that's just the way it looks tonight. Maybe I can do better later.
